Another exciting year is coming to an end, and it is time for those of you who live on campus to move out. I'm asking that you think about what you're doing as you decide what to keep & what to find a new home for.
There are DAV barrels in all colleges for things you want to donate, this can include electronics (working or not!). So if you don't like something anymore or have gotten your use out of it, DONATE it!
Do you have left over non-perishable food? canned or boxed kind of foods that you don't want to take with you? There are 55 gallon drums in every college for FOOD DONATIONS. There are lots of hungry people out there, don't waste it by throwing food away.
What to do with all those papers, notebooks, plastic bottles? RECYCLE! Glass, alumimum, plastics, paper, cardboard... they all are Recyclable!
Finally there may be some other stuff that's left over... make sure it can't be reused or recycled & then as a last resort put it in the trash. and when I say "put it in the trash" that means in the actual trash dumpster or bin, not on the sidewalk in front of it!
Just as a hint... most of what you want to get rid of is either reusable (so DONATE it) or recyclable (so RECYCLE it).
It's been a great year and we've loved having you live with us. Be safe this summer & we'll see you in the Fall!
